Pecan Pie with Bourbon Whipped Cream

Ingredients:

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups pecan halves

Bourbon Whipped Cream:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp bourbon
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pie Filling: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir in pecans.
  2. Bake the Pie: Pour filling into the pie crust and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set. Let cool completely.
  3. Make the Whipped Cream: In a bowl, whip cream with bourbon and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Serve with pie.
