Pecan Pie with Bourbon Whipped Cream
Ingredients:
- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1½ cups pecan halves
Bourbon Whipped Cream:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp bourbon
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
Instructions:
- Prepare the Pie Filling: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, whisk together corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla. Stir in pecans.
- Bake the Pie: Pour filling into the pie crust and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the center is set. Let cool completely.
- Make the Whipped Cream: In a bowl, whip cream with bourbon and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Serve with pie.
