Classic Southern Peach Cobbler
Ingredients:
- 6 large peaches, peeled and sliced
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
Instructions:
- Prepare the Peaches: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, combine peaches, ½ cup sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Set aside.
- Make the Batter: In another bowl, mix flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth.
- Assemble the Cobbler: Pour melted butter into a baking dish. Pour batter over butter (do not stir). Spoon peaches over the batter. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and bubbly. Serve warm.
