 Classic Southern Peach Cobbler

Ingredients:

  • 6 large peaches, peeled and sliced
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Peaches: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a bowl, combine peaches, ½ cup sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Set aside.
  2. Make the Batter: In another bowl, mix flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth.
  3. Assemble the Cobbler: Pour melted butter into a baking dish. Pour batter over butter (do not stir). Spoon peaches over the batter. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden and bubbly. Serve warm.
